As per your query regarding editing the footer, the option to edit the footer is only available in the Pro version of the theme.

So, if you want to edit the footer, you need to upgrade your theme to the Pro version.

This is found in the theme customize>front page> About us
The about us section enabled and set to a WordPress page. The problem I am having is the featured image is overlapping the text in this format.

Would there be css to edit just the image in this section so the text can be read?
