I have added a folder called ‘templates’ in your child theme directory and added the two files one for the right sidebar template and the other for the full-width template

So I just gave it a try as suggested and disabled all the plugins (except maintenance) and there’s no difference: still can’t navigate from one post to the previous/next one.
