Ok, third time around trying to get help. I am trying to change the content on my Homepage, and for some reason when I go into my ‘pages’ on the dashboard then to ‘edit Homepage’, it says “This is your front page. Click the ‘edit’ link to change the contents”. For the LIFE OF ME, i cannot find that damned button!
Please help. By the way, please don’t speak coding-genius-tech-savvy, I won’t know what to do.

September 7, 2016 at 12:18 am #17094wensolutionsKeymasterHello @saraluikert,
We are sorry you had trouble changing your home page contents.Upon selecting a static page to display to your front page, you should be able to edit / modify the page contents by simply editing the selected page in the WordPress dashboard.
If you want to setup your front page like in the demo of the theme, Please check and follow the theme’s official documentation here : http://themepalace.com/theme-instructions/trade-line/ .
Please elaborate further the changes you want to make to your homepage, so that we can help you with your changes accordingly.
Best Regards !!
September 7, 2016 at 4:34 pm #17151saraluikertParticipantListen. The front page is set as static. When you go to the ‘dashboard’ and press ‘pages’, I then select the ‘edit’ button underneath ‘frontpage’. I enter the frontpage, and a message there says ‘This is your front page. Click the ‘edit’ link to change the contents’.
I am at my wits end to try to find the ‘edit’ on this page. How, in all hells, do I edit the content of my frontpage. I just want to spellcheck for goodness sake!

September 9, 2016 at 6:29 am #17296wensolutionsKeymasterHello @saraluikert,
The Screen seen in the screenshot you have posted is the home page edit screen. You do not need to find any edit link in the screen and the message in intended to display for front-end of the website.
To change your page contents for the homepage, you can simply remove the “message” and type in your contents for the home page. Please refer to the following screenshot :
The theme has defined widget area and gives users feature to add custom widgets in the front page while setting static front page, so by default your page does not show in the front.
To display the home page to the front go to your Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Front Page Widget Area > Add A Widget. Select “Trade Line:Featured Page” widget and select the home page in the widget settings.
Save your changes and you will get the home page displayed in your front page. For any more confusions, feel free to post in your queries.
Hope this resolves your issues,
Best Regards !!
September 9, 2016 at 6:31 am #17297saraluikertParticipantThe only problem is that I already have content on my homepage. I would like to edit the content currently on my homepage, but it doesn’t appear on that screen.

By inspecting your site you have set you front page displays to show static page content.
But it’s the theme feature that when you set your front page to show static page, the static page content doesn’t appear.
However, it’s theme’s feature that when you choose static home page then you will be able to manage your site with the widget. So to edit the Home page content, you need to go to Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Widgets / Front Page Widget Area.
In this section you will see Add A Widget button. Now you can add as many widget as you can( the available widgets are WordPress default widget and theme’s custom widgets e.g:Trade Line:Featured Page ).
Now the front page only display the widget that you have on Front Page Widget Area.
So to change the content of Homepage you can add or remove the required widget and the change will be reflect directly to your site’s homepage.Hope this will help you.
Regards!!!
September 9, 2016 at 1:57 pm #17353saraluikertParticipantThank you so much for your help!
I have another two quick questions. Now that I could change the text, how do I make the font smaller on the widget (as well as adding in paragraph breaks) and the image larger?
Thank you for your patience, it means the world to me.
September 9, 2016 at 2:45 pm #17361saraluikertParticipantAnd change the font?
September 9, 2016 at 3:10 pm #17363saraluikertParticipantI have fixed it all. Thank you for all your help. NO more questions regarding frontpage, I promise.
